Max founded Energy Innovations

Max Founded Energy Innovations in 2013 with the goal of building a company that offers comprehensive energy design support for all phases in the construction process from initial concept through occupancy. Max brings fifteen years of residential construction and design experience to the company. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, Max gained extensive knowledge and skills by working as a carpenter throughout western Colorado.

In 2006, Max launched HammerTime Home Improvements, overseeing larger residential projects and working with other design professionals. Max then joined Resource Engineering Group in 2008, where he worked as a structural engineer on custom homes. Seeking to deepen his knowledge of energy usage in buildings, Max earned a Master’s Degree in Building Systems from the University of Colorado. Max has since worked as a HERS Rater, and provided energy modeling and mechanical design services for architects in the Boulder area. Seeing an opportunity for better integration of the energy-related aspects of home construction, Max was inspired to establish Energy Innovations and use his wealth of building knowledge to aid architects and builders in the design and construction of high performance buildings.
